Monterey Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raw rice
    1 1/2 pt. sour cream
    2 (4 oz.) cans chopped green chilies, drained
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    12 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Cook rice according to directions on box.
    Mix sour cream, chilies, salt and pepper.
    In deep casserole dish, spread a layer of rice mixture and top with cheese slices.
    Repeat layers, ending with rice mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
