Allie'S Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1 medium head cabbage
    2 Tbsp. salt
    7 stalks celery
    1 green pepper
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Bring the first 3 ingredients to a boil and let cool.
    Shred the cabbage.
    Salt with the 2 tablespoons salt.
    Let stand 2 hours.
    Rinse with cold water and drain well. Chop the celery and green pepper. Add the celery seed and mustard seed. Cover with syrup and let stand several hours.
    Keeps indefinitely and stays crisp.
