Easy Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and pearl onions, partially thawed
    1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. diced cooked chicken
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2/3 c. shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation
    In a medium skillet over medium heat, saute mushrooms in butter or margarine for 3 minutes or until limp.
    Stir in peas and onions, breaking pieces apart.
    Cover and steam for 4 minutes or until peas are tender.
    Stir in soup and milk until blended.
    Stir in chicken, pimiento and pepper.
    Stirring, bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted and blended.
    Serve over buttered toast, patty shells, biscuits or hot cooked noodles. Serves 4.
