Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. thawed strawberries
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening (or margarine)
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Grease large pan (15 x 10 x 1-inch) well; sprinkle all marshmallows in pan.
Prepare strawberries by combining with the strawberry Jell-O; let stand.
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Add vanilla; blend well.
Pour batter over marshmallows. Spoon strawberry mixture over the batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
