Oven Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. oil
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
    10 small whole onions
    3 c. hot mashed potatoes
    1/2 lb. Velveeta pasteurized process cheese spread, cubed
Preparation
    Coat meat with combined flour and seasonings.
    Brown in oil; drain.
    Combine meat, tomatoes, peas, mushrooms and onions; mix well.
    Pour into 2-quart casserole.
    Cover; bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until meat and onions are tender.
    Combine potatoes and process cheese spread; spoon around edge of casserole.
    Broil until process cheese spread begins to melt. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
