Peach Custard Cake - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can sliced peaches
1/2 c. syrup
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. Pet evaporated milk
1 egg
Preparation

Mix butter with flour and salt with a pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse meal.
With back of a spoon, press mixture firmly on bottom and halfway up sides of a greased 8-inch square pan.
