Broccoli Casserole - cooking recipe

1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. onions
1 c. raw rice
3/4 c. celery (optional)
1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese or 8 oz. Cheez Whiz
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
Preparation

Prepare raw rice and frozen broccoli according to directions but without salt. Melt butter or margarine with the onions. Heat only until butter is completely melted.
Pour this mixture into a long Pyrex dish. Add the cooked rice, cheese and soup and mix well.
Drain the cooked broccoli and spread it over the rice mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
