Fresh Apple Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peeled, chopped apples
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Combine apples, pecans and sugar.
    Let stand one hour, stirring often; do not drain.
    Combine flour, sugar, salt and spices.
    Stir in butter, vanilla and eggs.
    Spoon into 2 greased 1 pound coffee cans.
    Tie a 2-inch band of foil around top of cans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center is clean.
    Cool in cans for 10 minutes.
    Remove from cans and complete cooling.
