My Grandmother'S Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. (2 C.) self-rising flour or plain flour
    2 heaped tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar (optional)
    1 egg
    1/2 pint milk
Preparation
    Grease 12 bun tins.
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
    Beat egg and milk together.
    Pour into flour.
    Mix until creamy.
    Fill bun tins about 2/3 full.
