Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    4 or 5 apples (crisp)
Preparation
    Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add milk and well beaten egg.
    Pare and core apples.
    Slice about 1/4-inch thick. Dip each piece in batter and fry until golden brown.
    Drain on a paper towel.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
