Hot Milk Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

2 medium eggs
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
6 Tbsp. hot milk
Preparation

About 1 hour ahead, set out eggs.
Start heating oven to 350\u00b0. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
With electric mixer at high speed, beat eggs until very thick and light, about 5 minutes. Add sugar gradually, beating constantly.
Beat in lemon juice. Fold in flour mixture, small amount at a time.
Add hot milk. Stir quickly until blended.
Immediately turn batter into ungreased pan.
Bake 35 minutes or until done.
Use 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan or tube pan.
