Layered Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    lettuce
    4 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    chopped green onions
    chopped green pepper
    chopped celery
    English peas, drained
    chopped tomatoes, drained
    shredded cheese
    salad dressing or mayonnaise
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Use a large glass bowl, if available.
    Layer lettuce in bottom of bowl.
    Add a layer of sliced eggs, standing some up on the side of bowl.
    Add a layer of chopped onions, celery and pepper.
    Add another layer of lettuce.
    Add a layer of English peas.
    Add a layer of chopped tomatoes.
    Add a layer of shredded cheese. Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the top of it all, sealing to the edge of the bowl.
    Sprinkle with a layer of bacon bits.
    Cover and let set overnight.
    Toss before serving.
