Macaroni Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cooked macaroni
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 head lettuce, shredded
    2 hard-boiled eggs
    1 onion (optional)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. flour
Preparation
    Combine macaroni, boiled eggs and onion; set aside.
    Combine sugar, salt, mustard and flour; add eggs and vinegar.
    Mix well; add water and stir until smooth.
    Cook until thickened.
    Pour over macaroni mixture.
    Do not add celery and lettuce until ready to serve.
    Sprinkle top with grated carrots.
