Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 (4 oz.) Minute steaks, tenderized
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 fresh, medium green pepper
    2 (1 lb.) cans canned tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion and pepper in hot fat.
    Remove from skillet. Brown steaks slightly; salt and pepper to taste.
    Place steaks in casserole pan in single layer, if possible.
    Mash canned tomatoes; add sugar.
    Mix in onion and pepper.
    Spoon vegetables over steak.
    Bake covered for 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
    Serves 12.
