Mama'S Old Timey Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. flour, sifted 3 times
1 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light.
Add 6 egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Add baking soda to sour cream and stir well.
Add flour and sour cream to creamed mixture alternately, beginning with flour and ending with flour, mixing well after each addition.
Beat 6 egg whites until fluffy and add to mixture.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
