Chocolate Marble Loaf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. milk
    1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 stiffly beaten eggs
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Stir the shortening to soften.
    Gradually add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together 3 times; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, a small amount at a time.
    Beat until smooth after each addition.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Combine chocolate, water and soda; add to 1/2 the batter.
    Alternate light and dark batters by spoonfuls in paper-lined 10 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 60 minutes.
    Cool and frost with creamy chocolate frosting.
