Meat Loaf With Glazed Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground pork
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. catsup
    1/2 c. finely chopped onions
    1 egg
    1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    8 medium-sized onions, peeled
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Work together, beef, pork, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, onions, catsup, egg, milk and crumbs.
    Shape into a loaf; place in a 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish.
    Arrange onions in a 1-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt; cover onions.
    Bake meat loaf and onions 1 hour.
    Remove both from oven. Sprinkle onions with sugar.
    Return to oven, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
    Arrange meat and onions on warm serving platter.
