Blushing Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. rhubarb, cut up
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients and place in an oblong 12 x 8-inch pan.
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs; beat well.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla.
    Pour over rhubarb and bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
