Corn Pone Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. canned or stewed tomatoes or tomato paste
    whole kernel corn
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. chili sauce
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained or pinto beans
    cornbread batter
Preparation
    Combine meat, onion, sugar and chili sauce and saute in butter until meat changes color.
    Add tomatoes and beans and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Place meat mixture in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Spread cornbread batter on top of meat mixture.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until brown.
