Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1/4 c. oleo or butter
    1 c. pecans
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Place pie in preheated 450\u00b0 oven.
    Bake for 45 minutes (do not peek). To test, a silver knife inserted should be come out clean.
    Cool.
    Serve with or without whipped cream.
