Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 tsp. salt
    6 c. coarse shredded cabbage
    10 1/2 oz. tomato soup, undiluted
Preparation
    Saute onion in 3 tablespoons butter, heating through, not browning.
    Add ground beef, plus 3 teaspoons salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
    Spread into 2 quart baking dish.
    Spread 3 cups cabbage; cover with meat mixture.
    Top with 3 cups cabbage.
    Spoon over top, 10 1/2 ounce can of condensed tomato soup.
    Bake covered 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven.
