Beef Stew With Limas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 large onion, minced
    2 lb. beef chuck, cut in 2-inch pieces
    1 lb. 3 oz. can tomatoes
    1 whole cinnamon stick
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen fordhook limas
Preparation
    Melt butter in hot Dutch oven.
    Saute onion until golden.
    Add chuck and brown lightly.
    Now add tomatoes, cinnamon stick, salt and pepper.
    Simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours until meat is fork-tender.
    Skim off fat.
    Refrigerate stew, covered.
