No-Fail Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat eggs just to blend; add sugar.
    Scald milk; add milk, vanilla and salt to egg mixture.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 475\u00b0 for 5 minutes; reduce heat to 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes. It will be jiggly in the middle but sets when cool.
    Very good, smooth custard.
