Canned Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    10 c. water
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    10 qt. sliced, peeled apples
Preparation
    Boil first 6 ingredients until thick, stirring constantly. When thick, add lemon juice.
    Pour over 10 quarts of peeled, sliced apples.
    Pack into jars.
    Cold pack for 30 minutes.
    Seal until ready to use.
    One quart makes 1 pie.
