Spice Strips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 2 tsp. water
    1 c. raisins
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together in the order given.
    Chill dough. Remove from refrigerator and divide dough into 6 parts.
    Roll each part in sugar until 10-inches long and 3/4-inch wide.
    Flatten to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Place 2 rolls on each of 3 foil lined cookie sheets.
    Sprinkle rolls with sugar.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1/2 hour. Slice on diagonal while still warm.
    Allow to cool thoroughly on cookie sheet.
    May be frozen.
