Sausage Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 onion
    1 small head cabbage
    1/2 c. water
    3 carrots, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    4 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
Preparation
    Brown sausage in a Dutch oven.
    Remove and drain on paper towels.
    Drain off drippings, reserving 1 tablespoon in Dutch oven.
    Saute onions in reserved drippings 3 to 5 minutes.
    Add sausage, cabbage, carrots, potatoes and water.
    Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
