Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. scalded milk
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    3 eggs
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat
    eggs
    until
    yolks
    and
    whites are blended.
    Add sugar, salt, nutmeg and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Add milk slowly, stirring. Pour
    into pastry shell.
    Bake in hot oven 425\u00b0 for 15
    minutes, then
    reduce
    heat to 350\u00b0.
    Bake for 30 minutes longer
    or
    until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Makes one pie.
