Steak And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 or 8 cubed steaks
3 1/2 c. water
4 or 5 medium potatoes
1 envelope onion soup mix

Preparation

Batter steak in flour, salt and pepper.
Brown on both sides with oil in a heavy skillet.
Arrange browned meat in casserole dish (do not crowd pieces).
Place potatoes, sliced thin, on top of browned steak.
Sprinkle with onion soup mix and pour 3 1/2 cups of water over this.
Bake at 350\u00b0, covered, for 2 hours or until tender.
