Fruit Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 can pie filling
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla.
    Stir in one egg at a time.
    Stir in flour.
    Add nuts.
    Mix well.
    Spread in greased 10 x 15-inch pan, using 3/4 of batter.
    Cover with pie filling.
    Drop remaining batter on filling.
    Glaze icing.
