Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger (uncooked)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
salt to taste
1 loaf French bread (unsliced)
Preparation

Slice top off bread.
Remove about 2 cups crumbs from bottom part of bread.
Mix crumbs with hamburger, onion, green pepper and salt.
Place mixture in scooped out hollow in bread.
Leave top off loaf and wrap in foil.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
Open top of foil, place bread top on loaf and return to oven for 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
