Snickerdoodle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together 1 1/2 cups
    sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, salt and soda. Combine and chill thoroughly or overnight.
    Pinch off small balls and roll in a blend of 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon (could also use chopped nuts or cocoa).
    Place 2 inches apart and bake on an ungreased pan until light brown, but still soft.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
