Double Quick Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (1/4 oz.) pkg. active dry yeast
    1 c. very warm water (not hot)
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix 1
    1/4
    cups
    flour, sugar, salt and yeast in large bowl. Add water, shortening and egg; beat until smooth.
    Stir in remaining
    flour
    until smooth.
    Scrape batter from side of bowl. Cover and let
    rise
    in
    warm
    place
    until
    double (30 minutes). Sunny window
    is
    great.
    Stir down batter and beat 25 strokes. Spoon into
    12
    greased muffin cups.
    Let rise 20 to 30 minutes. Bake at
    400\u00b0
    for
    15 to 20 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen.
    Can be made while cooking dinner.
