Coconut Pie(Very Old Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked pie shell
    4 eggs
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup milk
    1/2 cup butter
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 cup coconut
    1 cup sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3 Tbsp lemon juice
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 Tbsp grated lemon rind
    1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
    Stir constantly over boiling water until thickened,about 8 minutes. Cool. Whip 1 cup cream. Pour cooled custard mixture into whipped cream. Pour into meringue pie shell.
    Be sure all pockets of meringue are filled. Let stand in refrigerator several hours. Serve with fresh strawberries or any seasonable fruit.
