Daiquiri Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (20 oz. each) cans crushed pineapple, drained (reserve syrup)
    2 3/4 c. liquid reserved syrup, plus water
    3 pkg. (4 serving size) lime or lemon flavored gelatin
    2 (6 oz. each) cans frozen limeade concentrate
    1 c. mayonnaise or light salad dressing
    1 c. light rum, if desired
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped or 2 c. frozen whipped topping, thawed
    4 medium bananas, sliced (if desired)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, bring liquid to boiling.
    Stir in gelatin to dissolve.
    Remove from heat; stir in limeade concentrate and rum.
    Using wire whisk or electric mixer, blend in mayonnaise. Chill until thickened, but not set.
    Fold in pineapple, whipped cream and bananas.
    Spoon into 12-cup fluted tube pan.
    Chill until firm.
    Makes 10 to 12 servings.
    Recipe may be halved for 6-cup fluted tube pan.
