Fried Tofu - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 block tofu (medium or firm)
    1/4 c. vegetables, thinly sliced carrots, celery and onion
    1 1/2 c. dashi broth, made from \"dashi no moto\" as directed on pkg.
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    cornstarch
    oil for deep frying
Preparation
    To
    Make
    Sauce:
    Boil\tthe
    dashi
    broth with carrots, celery and
    onion
    until\tthe vegetables are tenderly cooked. Add soy sauce and thicken it with a little cornstarch (about 1 1/2 tablespoons) mixed with about 2 tablespoons water.
