Lake'S Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shrimp
    1 pinch black pepper
    1 tsp. Texas Pete hot sauce
    1 small white onion, chopped
    4 bay leaves
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 pinch basil
    1 pinch oregano
    1/2 can tomato paste
    1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. cooked rice
    1/2 slice cooked bacon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 chopped green pepper
    1/3 c. sliced mushrooms
    2 stalks chopped celery
    2 (8 oz.) cans whole peeled tomatoes
Preparation
    Saute onions, peppers and celery in bacon drippings.
    Add stewed tomatoes and sliced whole skinless tomatoes, garlic and spices.
    Add 1/2 cup water and let simmer for at least 20 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes or until shrimp are done.
    Serve over hot, white rice.
    Serves 4.
