Cheese Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. medium Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 small onion, grated
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp. red pepper
    1 c. chopped pecans
    parsley sprigs
    strawberry preserves
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients and mix well.
    Sprinkle 1/4 cup pecans in an oiled 7-cup ring mold and press cheese mixture into mold.
    Chill until firm.
    Unmold on platter and pat remaining pecans onto cheese ring.
    Garnish with parsley sprigs.
    Serve on crackers with strawberry preserves.
