Tater Tot Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground round
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 (10.5 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    2 tsp. dry onion soup mix
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. American cheese
    1 large (32 oz.) bag Tater Tots
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Brown ground beef and drain. Add salt and pepper. Add mushroom soup and dry onion soup. Spread mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Lay American cheese slices over the top. Cover the top with Tater Tots. Bake at 350\u00b0 until food thermometer reads 165\u00b0, about 20 minutes.
