Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. Crisco
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 eggs
    1 pt. blackberry jam
    1 box raisins
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar.
    Put soda in buttermilk. Sift dry ingredients together, adding alternately with the buttermilk.
    Add eggs; blend and fold in jam and raisins.
    Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 350\u00b0 for about 1 or 1 1/2 hours according to your oven.
    Test with toothpick.
    I always line my pan with greased brown paper sack.
