French Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (2 sticks oleo or 1 stick butter)
    1 lb. sugar - 2 c.
    1 lb. flour - 4 c. - measure before sifting
    1 lb. eggs - 6 or 8
    3 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter, eggs, sugar.
    Then flour and vanilla.
    Use 6 eggs first.
    After all is combined if batter is too thick add other 2 eggs.
    Spoon batter by tablespoon and bake in a waffle iron, until lightly browned.
    All depends on size of waffle iron--you can make 1 big one or smaller ones at same time.
