Date Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. sweet milk
1 box pitted dates
1 c. or more nuts
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil sugar, milk and dates until it forms soft ball in water. Remove from fire and let cool to lukewarm.
Add vanilla and nuts and beat until firm enough to form 1 or 2-inch roll.
Pour in wet cloth; tie each end.
Hang up and let remain until cold.
Then slice.
