Syrup Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. sorghum molasses
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; mix well.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan; bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
