Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    3 3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. allspice or cloves
    2 lb. pineapple
    2 lb. cherries
    2 lb. pecans
    3/4 c. white raisins
    3/4 c. dark raisins
Preparation
    Soften butter.
    Add sugar and eggs.
    Beat well.
    Add flour, flavorings, nuts and fruit.
    Mix well.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
    If desired, you may add 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring and an additional 1 teaspoon vanilla.
