Creamy Tuna Topped Broccoli - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 bunch fresh broccoli
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. processed American cheese, shredded
2 (6 1/2 or 7 oz.) cans tuna, drained of excess liquid and flaked
Preparation

Wash broccoli.
Remove long leaves and tough pieces of stalks. Cut stalks lengthwise into quarters.
Place broccoli in large saucepan with 1-inch boiling salt water.
Cook for 10 to 12 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain broccoli well. Reserve cooking water. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and saute celery and onion until soft. Stir in flour, blending well. Combine reserved cooking water and milk.
Gradually stir into saucepan. Cook until mixture is slightly thickened and comes to a boil. Add cheese and stir until melted. Stir in tuna.
Serve hot over cooked broccoli.
