Mom'S Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 c. molasses
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    1 egg, unbeaten
Preparation
    Mix flour, soda and spices; sift. Combine molasses and buttermilk. Cream the margarine. Add sugar and cream well.
    Add egg and beat well. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk-molasses mixture, beating after each addition until smooth. Bake in a 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 until done, about 1/2 hour.
