Spanish Links - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sausage (link or bulk pork sausage)
    1 (6 to 8 oz.) Rice-A-Roni Spanish rice
    2 c. hot water
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/4 c. chopped onions, optional
    1/4 c. chilies, optional
Preparation
    Brown
    sausage\tin
    large
    skillet.
    Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon\tdrippings
    in
    skillet.
    If onions and chilies are used,
    wilt
    at this time.\tAdd rice-vermicelli mix.
    Continue cooking
    until
    vermicelli\tis
    slightly
    browned.\tAdd water, contents
    of seasoning packet and tomatoes (chopped in blender or food processor).
    Bring to a boil.\tCover; reduce heat and simmer 15\tto 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
