Shrimp Creole 1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 medium onion, diced
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1/2 c. celery, diced
    1 clove garlic, mashed
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 bay leaf
    12 oz. frozen shrimp
Preparation
    Chop onion, green pepper and celery and mince the garlic. Saute in cooking oil about 5 minutes.
    Stir in tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper and spices.
    Simmer about 10 minutes.
    Add frozen shrimp.
    Simmer 5 to 8 minutes.
    (If shrimp is raw, simmer until it turns pink.)
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
    Serve over hot rice.
    Serves 4 people.
