Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 or 1 c. nuts
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
coconut
Preparation

In a skillet, melt butter; add sugar, beaten egg and dates. Cook for 5 minutes, after it begins to bubble.
Take off heat and add Rice Krispies and vanilla.
Drop by teaspoons in coconut and roll to make a ball.
