Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. roasted salted peanuts
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a microwave safe container, stir together sugar and corn syrup.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts; microwave on High for 3 to 5 minutes or until light brown.
    Add butter and vanilla; blend well.
    Microwave on High 1 to 2 minutes more.
    Nuts will be lightly browned and syrup very hot!!
    Add baking soda and gently stir until light and foamy.
    Pour mixture onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Let cool 30 minutes to 1 hour. Break into small pieces.
    Store in airtight container.
