Copper Pennies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. slightly cooked carrots, cut in rounds like pennies
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 green pepper, cut fine
    1 can tomato soup
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Cook and drain carrots.
    Let cool.
    Mix together the other ingredients and pour over carrots.
    Marinate 12 hours.
    Serve cold.
